Oticon Companion: How to enable tap to answer calls

Below are the steps needed to enable tap to answer calls.

  1. Open the Companion App on your device.

  2. Once open, tap the Hearing aids icon at the very bottom, in the middle of the screen.

  3. Tap Hearing aid settings (as shown on left side of diagram below), and turn on Answer calls faster by tapping the toggle next to it. You will know it is turned on when it turns GREEN (as shown on right side of diagram below).

  1. You will now be able to double tap anywhere on the back of your hearing aids to answer as well as hang up on phone calls.

A NOTE For Android Users:

If you have completed the first 4 steps, and the tap to answer is not working for you, try performing these next steps:

  1. Go to your main phone SETTINGS.

  2. Scroll down to, and then select ACCESSIBILTY.

  3. Next, select HEARING DEVICES.

  4. Click the little GEAR ICON next to the Hearing Aids, and ensure BLUETOOTH LE is turned ON.

  5. You will now be able to double tap anywhere on the back of your hearing aids to answer as well as hang up on phone calls.
