The wax guard is a very small, protective filter covering the hearing aid’s speaker, protecting it. Over time, the wax guard may become clogged. When this happens, you won’t hear sound from the hearing aid. Don’t worry! Wax guards for all hearing aids are user replaceable.

How often wax guards are replaced depends on the person. Everyone produces different amounts of ear wax. Some people may not need to replace the wax guards for months, while others may need to change them weekly.

If your hearing aids don’t work, before contacting your clinic, try replacing the wax guard first!
