How to Insert and Remove the Oticon Zeal Hearing Aid Print

Note: The curled wire serves multiple functions, including acting as the Bluetooth antenna. Please do not cut, shorten or modify the curled wire as this will affect the hearing aids, wireless connectivity and performance, requiring replacement.

*RED is for the right ear and BLUE is for the left ear*


Insertion Instructions

Hold the hearing aid in front of you by the black body, close to curled wire. The word Oticon in white should be facing you and the curled wire should be pointing up. Bring the hearing aid straight up and back, and insert it as far into the ear canal as it can go. You may need to twist the hearing aid slightly while you insert it. Make sure it fits snuggly inside of your ear canal by gently pressing on it once more after you have inserted it.The hearing aid body should feel secure in the ear canal. You may need to slightly pull the pinna of your ear to allow the hearing aids to go deeper into your ear canal (see Diagram 1 below). The curled wire should sit securely into your concha or ‘ear bowl’ as pictured below in Diagram 2.

Removal Instructions

  1. Grasp the curled wire that is connected to your hearing aid

  2. Pull the curled wire along with the rest of the hearing aid free from your ear

  3. Place both hearing aids into the charger, and be sure you see the LED light to ensure they have made contact as seen in video below.
