Turning Oticon Rechargeable Hearing Aids OFF and ON

Turning Oticon Rechargeable Hearing Aids OFF and ON Print

Oticon Rechargeable Hearing Aids will automatically turn OFF whenever they go into their PLUGGED in charger.

For SmartCharger users, your hearing aids will turn off every time they go into their CHARGED or PLUGGED in SmartCharger.

You can confirm your hearing aids are off because their light will either shine RED or AMBER. The colour differs depending on the model of your hearing aid.

Upon taking your Oticon hearing aids out of the charger, they will automatically turn ON.

You can confirm your hearing aids are turning on because their light will flash GREEN as they are turning on.

There may be times when you need to turn your rechargeable hearing aids OFF without putting them into their charger. Examples may include when going to the hairdresser, or going for a swim. In this case you can also turn your hearing aid OFF by pushing and holding the button on the back of your hearing aid until the light flashes RED or AMBER. Your Oticon hearing aid may have two buttons on the back, or it may have one button. See diagram below.

For hearing aids with two buttons, you may PRESS and HOLD EITHER of the buttons to turn it OFF. We typically recommend using the bottom button as it may be easier to grip. If you have two hearing aids, you must do this for each hearing aid.

For hearing aids with one button, you simply PRESS and HOLD that button to turn your hearing aid OFF. If you have two hearing aids, you must do this for each hearing aid. Remember, once you see the RED or AMBER light, the hearing aid is now turned OFF.

To turn your hearing aids back on, simply PRESS and HOLD the same button you used to turn it OFF, and it will turn back ON. If you have two hearing aids, you must do this to each hearing aid. You will know the hearing aid is turning ON because the light will flash GREEN.
