Changing programs: A long press of the upper part of the push button switches the programs forward. For example from program 1 to 2. While a long press of the lower part of the push button switches the program backward. For example from program 4 to 3 (the hearing aids can have up to four different programs users can switch between).
Adjusting volume: If the hearing aid has been programmed to allow for volume adjustment a short press on the upper part of the push button will increase the volume while a short press of the lower part of the push button decreases the volume.
Muting and un-muting the hearing aids: To mute the hearing aid press and hold the lower part of the push button for 4 seconds. To Un-mute a short press of the lower part of the push button.
Activate and Deactivate Flight Mode: If the user needs to disable Bluetooth connectivity in the hearing aids, they can activate Flight mode. When this happens Bluetooth connectivity is turned off while the hearing aids are still on and functioning.
To Activate in the miniRITE R: Press and hold the lower or upper push button for approx. 7 seconds. This is followed by a long orange blink, short green blink, short orange blink, short orange blink. (Four descending tones, a short jingle and an LED light confirms activation)
To Deactivate in the miniRITE R: Press and hold the lower or upper push button for approx. 7 seconds. This is followed by one long orange and 2 long green blinks.
Note: Pressing the button on one hearing aid will activate Flight mode on both hearing aids.
The user will activate the miniRITE T in the same was as the miniRITE R. Deactivation of Flight mode in the miniRITE T is complete by opening and closing the battery drawer.
